Where The Wild Roses Grow

Absolutely stunned! I have just got the 4 first pictures from Sanna from our photo shoot inspired by "Where The Wild Roses Grow". I can hardly believe it is me in the photo's... Wow!
It was great fun making these pictures. The photo shoot involved lying around in the lake which was soooo cold. I'm guessing between 12-15 degrees Celsius. So now I am home with a terrible cold and playing Dragon Age all day. But as you can see by the photos: IT WAS WORTH IT! :)

Where The Wild Roses Grow, backstage.

I must be the most impatient person in the world. I love secrets, but I always destroy them for myself. If anyone is keeping a secret I can taunt that person forever, guessing and guessing. I have even as a grown up opened my birthday presents before my birthday, and then packed them up again so I can open them again later... I am terrible at this. I am really good at keeping secrets though. I am not the one that blabbes. The problem is I never get surprises, because people know I always destroy them. But I love surprises! My dream is that someone will one day organize a surprise party for me... Every year at my birthday I hope for this to happen...
Anyhow. Just realized it is only two days since the photo shoot with Sanna. It feels like ages... I know it takes time to fix the photos. And I keep telling myself this but it doesn't work on me. :S

Well well... We had a great day anyway. Saturday. I'm amazed how long time everything takes. Time just run through your fingers and all of a sudden it's dark! Well that probably means we had a good time though doesn't it? Untill I get some photos I'll keep you satisfied with some backstage pics! :) (Or keep me satisfied, not sure...)We started out at my place and Jenny did the makeup. This is NOT a good picture of me though. I always get what I call The Skaleman Throat. Skaleman is a tortuous from Bamse. Just google ok. You Swedes will know though...Sanna fell in love with my cats. Well who doesn't? They are quite charming I must admit. Well, most of the time anyway... These photos are of course taken by the great artist herself. Not by me that is. ;) This is my cat Saskia. (aka Saskiaboll, bollen, bullen, bullbit and so on. As we say: "Kärt barn har många namn")This is my cat Samson (aka Samsonit, Niten, Svanson) licking his precious non existing balls. Charming...We arrived at our location (Erstaviksbadet) and met this young man. Felix. He is a photographer too and helped out Sanna with some of the technical stuff. I had baked some cookies, so the first thing we did was eat a couple and drink some coffee in the sun. Very nice. I was verry up for a swim at this point. Kind of changed my mind later though... but it was fun. :) (And cold!)The lake....Clearing up the scenery. Beer cans and stuff. Jenny is holding on to me so I don't trip and die. Which of course I did anyway. But that was sort of the whole point...Balancing away over underwater tree trunks and goo... Trying not to fall...My rebirth. Very wet and very cold... Jenny helps me undress and dress. The great artist herself! (And me putting on my bra in the background. Nice.)Group pics! Sanna, Jenny, me & Felix.

Waiting...

I am pouring up a hot bubble bath and a glass of white wine. One day I will probably have to move to a flat with out a bath tub, I dread that day. I am more of a bath person than a shower person. I have had a great day today. Walked arround town with one of my best friends -Hanna and her baby boy Hugo (aka Bullen). He was in a bad mood though, really tired, and so were we... I havn't slept much this week, but tomorrow I have no things planned, and no school (!) so I can get up what ever time I like! I actually got a membership at a gym today as well, it's only for this month though. But it means I have a bit of time to try it out and see if it's my thing or not. Tomorrow I am going to a dance class and on next thursday I will be doing some yoga. I used to do yoga when I was little, because my mum did yoga when I was about 13. Then one night I got in a teenage tantrum and decided that I would jump off the balcony if my mum went to her yoga class (HAHA!) so she decided to bring me with her... So I did yoga once a week until I was about 16. I've really missed it since. I think this yoga class will be physically harder though than the one I used to go to. We'll see...

After hanging out with Hanna and Hugo I got home and had a twenty minutes rest, then got into town again to meet Sanna and Jenny and plan the photo shoot on Saturday! We had a really great time. We kind of got off the subject of planning though and just talked about other stuff. But we managed to plan it all in the end. They are coming over to my place on Saturday so Jenny can fix makeup and hair and then we'll head out to the lake where we are shooting. I'm REALLY looking forward to this. It is great to work with people you really get allong with. They are both lovely people that I would love to hang out with more often, not only for photo shoots. (You hear that Sanna? I know you are reading...hah!) Thanks for today. You really made my evening!

Now waiting for that boy to get home so we can hang out a bit. And guess what? He is not working tomorrow!!!!! I havn't seen him all week and hardly see him now days as he works ALL THE TIME. Right now he does three peoples work, so even when he is at home he is working mostly... :( I miss him... We had five days holiday this summer together. 5 DAYS. And during those five days we were in Cornwall with friends, so we were not alone together once. I just cant wait until December. His mum has invited us to Egypt for two weeks over Christmas. Then we will have time. Just to eat good food, drink good wine and hang out...

Kylie Minogue & Nick Cave - Where The Wild Roses Grow

So also, I have to make up for my bad mood last night. I was all moaning about school. anways the girl I so claimed that I hated turnd out to be ok today. Well she was still a bit of a selfish bitch, but she is actually quite funny. We even made it to the tube together and talked about politics!

Problem is, she is that type of gal that is much smarter then she appears to be. She acts (and is) like a complete bimbo, which makes her seem more stupid then she actually is. I hate when women do that. It happens all to often.

We are one another s complete opposites. But that kind of makes us get along in a strange way. Weird how life twists and turns...

She is also the first person my own age that I've met that admits that she does botox to her lips! This is so weird. Botox ios not even on my world map. I would never ever ever touch a thing like that.

Anyways, that was that.

Soon soon my friends I will upload more photos from my photo shoot with Bogdan. I promise!

Also I am doing a photo shoot on Saturday with Sanna http://colormeonce.blogspot.com/ inspired by the music video for "Where the wild roses grow" It will be cooooold...but great fun! Sanna is a great photographer and I have no doubts at all that the pictures will turn out fantastic! :)

Cheap Skincare!

I have decided to start doing something about my skin problem.
I've been on medication for my bad skin 3 times, it works for a while then it goes back to the way it was... My main problem is that I have really dry skin which then causes acne. Yes, you can have that combination too. Acne doesn't always come with oily skin.

I know -quit smoking would be a good start. But it is hard when my boyfriend smokes so much. And no, I have absolutely no discipline... My plan is to start eating healthier first. It's not that I want to loose weight, I am slim and don't easily gain weight anyway, but I eat like crap and I have started to feel that it's effecting me in a bad way. Mostly I am tired all the time and I have a hard time sleeping. So my sister and I have decided to start running together once a week. I would never do it myself, so it's a good start. Also I have started making notes on what I eat and drink, mostly because I am worthless at drinking (water that is... ;)) You get moisture to the body from what you eat as well, but it's still important to drink.

Ok so today I have held a "mini spa". Quite a nice thing to do when you are home alone. So this is what you do:

-Have a nice long bath, candles, good music and so on.
Put your hair up in a hairband so it doesn't get in the way. Wash of your makeup and wash your hands.

-Use a piece of lemon against the skin. get the lemon juice all over your face (Not the eyes!). The citric acid will take away dry skin and cleans the pores. This will sting a bit... Leave on for about five minutes then wash away with cold water (this neutralizes the acid).

-Boil some water and pour it in a bowl of some sort (I added cinnamon and honey to the water, it smells nice and is supposed to have soothing effects. Also in old time cinnamon was believed to hold magic powers and act stimulating for sexual lust. So there you go.) Have your head over the infusion for about a quarter of an hour with a towel over your head. This softens up your skin and opens the pores.

-Afterward you can use a mask to add nutrition to your skin. I didn't have on e so I used avocado which you can make your own mask with. (There are lots of recipes on the net, but I chose to go with plane avocado) Avocado contains lots of oils, B-, E- and K-vitamins. Leave it on for about ten minutes. You can use the inside of the avocado skin to peel your face as you go.
-Wash off with warm water. Use a toner with vitamin E. Then add a moisturizing cream.

Voila!
This is the first time I try this. I wont be doing it every day I can tell you. Once a week maybe. My skin feels really nice and clean. I like that you don't really have to buy any expensive products.

This doesn't work...

Today has bee a hectic day. I have seriously bee studying ALL day. From 9 this morning until 12 at night. I had two hours break to eat... Now of cause I cant sleep because I have international politics (after world war 2 ´till present) spinning around in my head!

So I thought I just need to do something else. Like write in my blog!

(thinking)

(thinking)

Hm...

Just realized I don't really have anything to write about. That is probably not true though, but all I can think of are different European based organizations and so on and so forth... And I don't particularly want to write about that, and you (if there is anybody reading) probably don't want to hear about it anyway.

So here is a really fun list instead: Things I am stressed out about.

- This test I'm doing first thing tomorrow morning, like I said, international politics.

-A group assignment about Korea that we are doing. (I'm doing North Korea), mainly because there's a girl in my group that is such a total BITCH. I rarely really dislike people. This woman, I have spoken to her for about five minutes. She did not introduce herself to the rest of the group (she was thrown into our group after we already started the project because she had not been at school for some reason), and seriously, she behaves like she was Kim Jong-il himself! Do this do that and thinks she can completely re-organize our work which we have already started. If she starts bitching tomorrow again, seriously, after three nights of almost no sleep and that test I'm doing tomorrow, if she starts being rude again tomorrow she's in trouble... I will not be in my best mood tomorrow, that's for sure.

-I also have to write an essay on Korea, this is for another subject though, and it's not a group assignment.

-I have to write an essay about women rights through out history.

-I have to apply for CSN to get any money at all. I have just never worked out the easiest way to do it. And they really freak me out. I am actually really scared of them. What if they don't want to give me any money because I failed a couple of courses this spring (never applied for money then though). They could actually do that which would mean that I would have to drop out of school to start working again. And I only have 400 points left, I'll be finished at Christmas and then I can go to university. I HATE the Swedish system, I hate the ruling government. The latest year they have been cutting down resources at 30% from the "adult pre-university schools", They have also changed the system so that your grades then are worth less than if you did them in gymnasiet (like 6th form in sweden) This means that you are "punished" by society if you drop out of school at the age of 16. Whilst when you are 16, you are not of age and can not decide or do anything about the social standards which you live in. You can not chose the environment you grow up in or what parents you get to have. These were some of the causes I didn't manage to go to school at that age. And now the government is punishing me for having a lousy childhood to be frank. Great stuff.

Hopefully there will be a change of government on the 19th of September!
Vote 'em away my friends!

Sorry... This really didn't help. I just got in a bad mood and am even more awake.

IT DOESN'T WORK!

I just want to sleep...

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU CAN'T SLEEP? Counting sheep has never worked for me...

Sorry for being in a bad mood again. I am nice, I promise!
Night. xxxxx G

Luno Marica Kornevall

Lovely Luno. It is hard to understand. You were always the one who kept us together. The little I knew you. The short time we got. You were always the one that was down to earth. You always spoke your mind and saw people for who they were. You always acknowledged other people and made them feel special. I never told you how I admired you for that. We never had the time.
Sweet dreams beautiful girl.

You will me missed. In our hearts you will live on.

Until we meet again.

Photo shoot with Peter Ljungkvist

Mkay... so... I decided to uppload some photos before they get to old...

These Pictures are by Peter Ljungkvist ( http://www.plf.se/ )and were taken sometime in June. They are taken just next door to where I work... I was a bit nervous that my boss would walk by or something. ;) It was great working with Peter. I was a bit nervous to begin with because I hadn't done a photo shoot in a long long time..

The photos didn't turn out to be quite what I expected. I intended on a pure fashion photo shoot, but instead they turned out like calm portraits. When I say I expected something else it does NOT mean that I am at all disappointed. I think these photos are wonderful and Peter is a truly great photographer. But I must say I haven't done a lot of fashion shooting. Whenever I try it doesn't really go my way. Mainly because I chose photographers that want to do fine art instead... Which like I said I really enjoy doing. But I feel I should try something else to get more experience in different fields. Any advice? I think a good place to start is to find a cool make up artist that I can work with. I have worked with a couple that have been really good and nice and everything, but I think we need to have the same visions and be able to cooperate more. Well well...

Cornwall

I have been absolutely useless at blogging lately. Sorry about that...
At last school has started again. So I have to start doing some hard core studying now. This week, an examination about the EU, a group project on North Korea, an article on womens history and lots lots to read... (Strindberg, Hemingway, History and socialstudies)
Also I haven´t been working now for some time, which is nice for a change. School full time seems to be the thing.Just got home from a week in Cornwall and Devon yesterday. We were on a road trip two friends, my boyfriend and I. Padstow - Saint Ives - Bath. Niclas and I didn't have much time to see Bath unfortunately, we only spent one night there and then had to take the train to London to catch a plane home because he had to be back at work the next day. Our friends Olle and Boel are staying two more nights and are still there, I'm envious...
I can't decide wich place I liked the most. We were to Rick Steins famous restaurant in Padsow which was one of my favorite parts. It was SO GOOD! WE had the tasting menu all four of us. I thought I would copy out what we had, but it seems Niclas has taken the menus to work to show his colleges, so I'll have to do that another time. If anybody is interested..
Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of Rick Steins restaurant as I had forgotten my camera at home. But I think Boel took some (crappy phone pictures, but at least it is something!) so maybe I'll post those later too...We found this absolutely stunning little village - Montacute. And that it was. If I remember it right this was somewhere near Exeter. It was magic, like something from a fairytale. It had a big castle too... I'd love to go back there. If I ever finish my book or reach old age, this is where I'd spend it.Tintagel said to be King Arthurs castle was a beautiful place. More the scenery than the actual castle though. The landscape was amazing. It was a really hot day too. Lovely times...

Chubby cheeks... Well I've always had what they in Sweden call "apple cheeks" but I think I must have gained a few kilos while in Cornwall. I don't normally eat breakfast and in Cornwall I had a three course breakfast every morning! (Yogurt with fresh fruit, toast and then a huge English breakfast on top of that. Eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomatos... You get the picture.)

These sweet little things at the kissing gate at Pencarrow House... Olle+Boel, Me+Niclas

Eden Project was cool, but (again like Tintagel) I was more amazed by the actual bioms than all the plants inside them...Padstow. The tide is out on this picture, but you can see where the sea should have been...

There, so you got your share of holiday pics for now. I'm guessing you can live without pictures of Stone Henge and stuff (just google it, you'll probably find better pics) Just for the record I have about 200 more, if anyone cares to see give a shout. (And that was after I deleted about 150...)

Ok, I know I am not writing much about photography right now. But I honestly havnen't done a lot of photo shooting lately. Or that is a lie. I have done two. One that I just forgot to write about and one that I haven't got the photos from yet. So have patience with me...
