Today

Sorry for wierd updates. I've had a lot to think about.

Today I went over for brunch at Sannas place. A great thing that really took my mind of things for a while. We had bacon/haloumi and eggs on toast and just sat and chatted for ages. She is great. It makes me happy to meet new people I really connect with. :)
Got a bit inspired by her apartment, wow it was lovely! I just want to throw away all the old junk in my apartment. I really should stop being so sentimental about things...

There is one thing I REALLY want to do right now. I want to move. We have been trying to move for a year but it isn´t working out. GIVE ME AN APARTMENT NOOOOOW!!!!!

Now: Indian food with Niclas and then we will be watching Harry Potter & the goblet of fire.
(HAHA! I finaly managed to get Niclas to like HP ;)

Aint it strange...

Yesterday was a wierd evening. Some things were said that night that really got my mind going and triggered some things in me. Lots of memories. Things I have never discussed with anyone before. Niclas and I were up talking until 7 am. Some things are so strange. How we can actually forget things and live on like they never happened. Some memories feel like they are taken from someone else. Like it is a film you are watching and never taking part in. And in a way you can not connect to them. And in a way that makes them even more realistic, because you are seeing it all from above. I have a couple of people I need to talk to about this. I don't know if they will remember it as I do.

She-lob.

Not much to write today. The first snow has come and gone and taken most of the pretty leaves to the ground. And me with it today. I feel tired and uninspired...

I had nice morning though with my sister Clara that dropped in for a couple of card games... She won though... :(

It feels like I am stuck. I have so much time, but nothing gets done... Oh well. You don't want to hear about that do you? Hopefully I will have dinner soon and get in a better mood...
I´ll teat you to a picture of my sister that I stole... She-lob!

Just thinking....

Yesterday I was sitting on my balcony with a cup of coffee and a cigarette when a woman walks by outside my window with a huge bag of crisps in her arms, eating as she goes along. And I just realized how wierd Sweden is sometimes. I have never in my entire life seen a grown woman out walking and eating crisps, maybe from one of the small packs they have in vendin machines, but only juring the night going home from a party. Never in broad daylight with a big pack. Swedes are so wierd with this. You cant buy sweets and crisps in the shop with out feeling embarrassed, or is this just me? I think that is the sort of mentality towards unhealthy stuff here. Everyone eats it, but no one wants to be seen with a bag of crisps in their shopping bag.

In England it is so completely the opposite. I have two examples where the difference is huge.

So, my school in Stockholm when I was a kid (10-16) had this school caffetetria that sold cakes, yogurt, fruit, hot chocolate and stuff. Mainly for the kids that stayed in school in the afternoon because their parents worked late. You could sit and play cards in the cafeteria, play pool or whatever. Anyways, there was a lot of fuss about this from some parents and in the end they decided to change. So we could no longer buy any cakes or even yoghurt at school, because they contained two much sugar. Instead you could only buy fruit. Except for fridays, on fridays you could get wipped cream on your hot chocolate for 5sek extra! Of cause people stoped going to the cafeteria, there was a sweet shop just around the corner... This sounds kind of normal for us Swedish people, well maybe a bit on the extreme side, but still you cant blame the parents from wanting their kids to eat healthy right?

Oh well here goes my English example... I went to school in England for 6 months, I was supposed to stay for a year, but it didn't work out. That is another story however...
What I wanted to tell was about my school. Ok, well the first differance, food in school is not included like it is in Sweden. Ofcause some people bring packed lunch, but they cant sit in the cafeteria with the other students, they have to sit in an empty classroom, wich is kind of wierd, so not many brought packed lunch at my school. The food at school was more or less chips and sausages, pizza or ceiche (spelling?). Well I'm a vegetarian so I had pizza and cieche everyday for 6 months. Seriously I gained so much weight in England, I'm not used to eating that way... So this was the only food the school had to offer, of cause there always was desert and crisps to your lunch as well. And it you have a snack in the afternoon its completely normal to have a bag of crisps.

So seeing this woman walking down the street with a bag of crisps the other day just made me think about it. Being half English half Swedish I notice these differences quite well. It's so small things. You don't really think about them I think if you are not grown up with both cultures. I mean you don't see the differences, our ways are so "normal" to us because we are used to them , we never question them.

Ok, that is all for today. Maybe you are bored out of your brain now, maybe not.
Cheerio!
My favourite crisps.... Hula Hoops.... But I'll tell you a secret, I prefer the bacon taste... wierd coming from a veggie huh?

Daniel Eyre

So yesterday I went out with my friend Peter. A friend called Jeanette was celebrating her birthday, so we went and said hi. And after that the party continued at my place, until 7 in the morning that is. Jesus. YEah so I was a bit hungover today, and had completely forgot I was going to meet up with Tomas and pose fore his project. http://photoboy.se/ So I was a bit hungover, but it went well. We shot at Erstaviksbadet, the same place where I had a photo shoot with Sanna a couple of weeks ago, though not at the exact same location. I am actualy invited to a prty tonight that Tomas and his friend Joakim (who is also a photographer) are trowing. Not sure if I'm going to go though. I feel quite tired. But it would be fun...

Yesterday I met up with an equaintance -Daniel Eyre. Its quite strange we have been friends now on facebook for ages and never really met. he is a friend of a friend, kind of. I used to see him now and again when he worked at my local film rental. Before I moved that is. Anyways, Daniel is amazing at fiddeling around with photoshop. I love his work and have always ben comenting on his pictures. So we spontaniously met up yesterday. Took a walk and took some photos. It's nice to have someone as company when you are outr walking. I really need to get out more and take pictures, so it was perfect. So here are some of Daniels pictures. (If you click on them they become bigger...) http://danieleyre.deviantart.com/

Systemet

Jag upptäckte idag på tunnelbanan att jag råkat matcha min systemetkasse som jag råkade slänga skolböckerna i imorse. Hur töntigt är inte det?! Systembolaget, net nya lilla svarta uppenbarligen... Dress to success!

Ballet

Found this picture on my computer. I had totally forgotten about it. It was taken by Johan Margulis last year. When I was little I dreamed of becoming a ballet dancer. When I see this picture I still do...

Good morning!

Woke up this morning when my phone was ringing...
A woman from SVT (Swedish television) wants me to play the part as a maid in a 16th century murder story. HAHA! Tomorrow I am going to try out the costume. I´m guessing it will look something like this:

Where are you Johan Watsson?

When I looked in my postbox today I was first really happy.

SOMEONE HAD SENT ME A HANDWRITTEN LETTER!
That happens so seldom now days, and I really miss having pen palls.

I got a bit disappointed when I unlocked my postbox though. It turned out it was a letter I myself had written that had come back.

So here´s the story. A friend of mine has recently got the job as editor at a publishing company called Harlequin. They publish what we in Sweden might call "tant snusk" directly translated "lady filth", well you get the picture. Romantic novels, kind of...
Soooo my friend threw a party with a harlequin theme. (I was dressed up as a naughty school teacher. Yum....) We found a really old magazine (from 1990 I think) with kids looking for pen palls and realized that they were about our age. (though they at the time were around 13, looking for pen palls age 11-15) So we all started writing letters.

There was only one guy looking for a pen pall (girls magazine), and of course he was looking for girls. How could he resist a 22 year old naughty school teacher ey? ;)
So I wrote him, and sprayed some perfume, stuck on a couple of stickers and sealed it with a kiss.

Well turned out he wasn´t so charmed. Or well. He had moved anyway. Oh well. No new pen palls today then...

Tooth ache!

Sorry for not writing...
I've had a couple of intense weeks. God, so much school work! Still I have two essays to complete this week end. Then I am freeeeeeee! I start a new course next week, photography again. So that is really fun. It will probably mean I´ll update here more than I have been doing. At least I am trying to not be off topic here.. And as I don't have time for photo shoots that often I suck at updating...
So what do YOU readers think? Should I update anyhow and write about my day to day life or should I try and stock to photography and only write when I have pictures to publish?

IT'S ALL UP TO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Next week at least I might be doing FOUR photo shoots, which is great. I am really looking forward to it.

Today has really sucked by the way. My wisdom teath have started to come out slowly, and then this morning I woke up with this MAJOR tooth ache! So I called the dentist and they asked me a lot of questions on the phone and said I had to come in today because I had an infection and it could get dangerous if I waited! So I got an apointment AN HOUR later! This has never happend to me before. It is always at least 1 week of waiting, if you are lucky that is. So I was really thankfull for that. Nasty buissines...you don't want to hear about it. Anyways now I am on penicillin and pain relievers. Hurray! At least it is happening now when I'm not as broke (not entirely true, am broke now, but waiting for the money to come rollin in, soon I hope!) and not out of the country or something. I'm going on holiday in December, and EVERY TIME I'm going out of the country I get a tooth ache or a major cold or something. So at least it is happening now instead of later. So hopefully it will get better. But the fact remains that the tooth seems to be growing entirely the wrong way, so I might have to have an operation. :( Fingers crossed that I don't have to!No new pictures to post so you'll have to do with this one. ;)
