Two dollar shoes

Today is the day ladies and gentlemen! I have decided to be healthy again, no more lying around in bed not being able to eat or drink, having fever. Today I am well. Welcome back Gabrielle!

My morning started with washing the dishes. I enjoyed it, I enjoyed drinking coffee, haven't drunk it for days. Washing clothes in the washing machine, now a long bath, change the sheets wash away all my illness. Today I start again. I'm back. This perfectly normal morning is beautiful and perfect. I'm going to put on my favorite dress and go out in the sun.

"I put my favorite white dress on, and my two dollar shoes. Tie my hair up the way you like, make you see that I´m still in love with you. It's gonna be so great, it's gonna be just like my wedding day..."

Tonsils

Had a wonderful midsummers with all the best people. Then on midsummers day we went out to our friend Peters summerhouse out in the Swedish archipelago. Or it isn't really his summer house, he is grown up there and his parents still live in the house.. We had a wonderful time though very tired after midsummers eve. The scenery is so beautiful out there. It's amazing.

I awoke in the middle of the night with so much pain in one of my tonsils I just couldn't stop crying. Couldn't speak or swallow. After two painkillers I managed to sleep a little but not much. So today we were at the hospital. They didn´t know what is was. Said it probably was just a cold and that I should continue taking painkillers. So I went home. Painkillers are not working. I have been crying and pacing up and down the hall all day. Not eaten not drunk. Managed to get some water with a pil down. For people who are dehydrated. Well I guess I needed it. Havn't drunk all day. Not hungry though I should be. Just want to throw things in the wall. Make noises make things break. I have the worst temper ever, my throat is hurting and I dont know what to do. And guess what? They do not remove tonsils from grown ups. You hacve to have major problems, and then I mean like 5 times a year. I have this shit maybe one a year and it is absolutely the most painful thing ever. Happy birthday.

The sun is shining... The summer is here for REAL! Two more days of schoolwork, then I have to be finished, can´t see how I will be. But I will.. Really looking forward to when all this is over, the weekend, midsummer's eve with all my friends... Last midsummer's was the best I ever had, I hope this one will be as good. It´s not always easy organizing it all but I think we got in the routine from last year. We buy pickled herring, nubbe, bread, salad, potatoes and vickning and stuff for lunch for everyone (They all get a receipt on how much they pay for all the stuff) and everyone brings what they want to grill for the evening. I woke up this morning with a dream that I was out at a party with all my friends, everyone was there, and I just couldn't be a part of it cause I had so much to do. When I got back to the party everyone was having the time of their lives, and they had already been there for a couple of hours so people where starting to get drunk and I was completely sober and not at all in a party mood. I think that's how I feel right now, that I am left over and can't join the party because I've got so much to do. Tonight I would LOVE to see John Grant at Strand. Check out his song Queen of Denmark. It is SO GOOD. It just makes me want to cry and scream. It is that kind of song that makes you feel bad. small an vulnerable but still makes you feel stronger. It's beautiful. I love the way how he experiments with his music, it was long since I heard something new that good. (Or is he new? I don't know, but he´s new to my ears.)

Photographing a project on food for school, pretty boring, but I can say there are worse ways of studying than sitting at Restaurant Landet in Telefonplan having cocktails, starters and desert! The other pictures are of the restaurant. I strongly recommend you to go and eat there the price is medium. Not very cheap but not that expensive. Though I should say, the food is absolutely fantastic.Well worth the price.

A Tigroness Fantasy...

At last I have got the lovely pictures from Evguenia. It has been worth the waiting I can tell you. There is a lot of work behind them. I am really impressed. Can you see it's me? I mean I can see it, but I don´t know if others can. I am the Tigroness a cross between tiger and lion.

A lot of working lately, and school work. I am writing a short story for school that I am rely pleased with. I will publish it when it is finished. But you will have to wait a while. When I send it to my teacher he runs it through a database to see that I havn´t stolen it from somewhere. It would be kind of ironic if that database found my blog and thought I'd stolen it from here...

Short update...

So my birthday came and went. I gave in for Popdakar, the music festival I wrote about. We had a picnic and it was really nice weather. I dug up all my old mix tapes and played a few. Later in the evening a couple of us went to see DAF. I had a wonderful day but I don´t really feel any older... I´ve already adapted to the thought of being 22.

Today I started writing a novel that I have to write for school. Very John Ajvide-esque if I whould say so my self. I havn´t written that much yet though. But I´ve really got the story going in my head. Actually quite impressed with myself. It was a long time since I wrote any stories... Well I still havn´t written it. But I´m on the go. I´ve got tons of schoolwork to do before midsummer so there won´t be much time for updates unfortunately. Otherwise looking forward to shooting with Alexander (http://alexanderbergstrom.blogspot.com) sometime soon...


The photographs are from a photo shoot I had with Johan Margulis this spring. My hair has grown a lot since then. I´m trying to get it long, I havn´t had long hair since I was in 8th grade and got home and took out the kitchen scissors...

Increased Terror with Fort Zombie

I dreamed about zombies last night. Woke up this morning really scared. Quite pathetic, but it was a really weird dream. Niclas and I were stuck in our apartment and there were zombies outside as far as the eye could see. So I woke up early this morning and had to go and lock the door. Of course I know there are no zombies in real life. But my dream was so convincing. I had to walk around my apartment a couple of times, check my e-mail and facebook to calm myself down. I felt really silly..

It made me think of this video I was in last summer. It´s a prank trailer for a computer game called Fort Zombie by Paradox Interactive. We shot it during last years Zombie Walk in Stockholm. A couple of friends of mine work for Paradox.

Sanna Skerdén

Summer is coming and my time still seems to be running short. After all these performances with the theater (that went great by the way!) I´ve got a whole load of work to do. And I need to find something to do during summer. Lately i´ve been working weekends as I go to school during the weekdays, but now I have to find a proper job for the summer, which I should have done ages ago, but time sort of ran through my fingers. It is already summer. But I´ve got a couple of leads.. we´ll see...

Today I have been rehearsing with Daltone. A Swedish rapper who is having his record release on Tuesday (1st of June). I am singing on one of his songs on the record and will be playing with him on the release night at Pet Sounds Bar. I enjoy it even if it isn´t really my type of music. A apreciate a lot of hip hop, but I don´t really listen to it. But it´s fun!

These pictures are from last summer. The second time in my life that I did modeling. The photographer is a really nice girl called Sanna Skerdén. I love her work and am really impressed by it. Also I think the world needs more good female photographers. There doesn´t seem to be many out there. I´d love to model for her again. Some of her stuff is really amazing.

Time again.

I havn´t had much time for blogging for a couple of days. The theater takes all my time. I´m wondering what I´m going to do when it´s over. We only have two more shows to go. Sunday & Monday...
I have got so much schoolwork to catch up on. And then there´s work. There´s been so much going on, I havn´t had time to look for a job. I sometimes work weekends at a bar, but that´s only when they need me. I need some place where I can actually work for a living, at least through the summer. I´m thinking of calling my old employer, but I really don´t want to go back. But they always need people, and they know that I know the job and do it well. But I am just so sick of it. Working at this bar has been so liberating, because it´s something new, something different. I need to feel that I am moving forward in some way. Even if I got better payed at my other work, I´m at least moving on.

Where did time go? It´s already summer. Everything is just running through my fingers...

School stuff...

School work and house cleaning today. Also I heard from Jonas that he has been to town to develop the pictures in colour . Looking forward to Wednesday when i get to see them...

Also I got a phone call from Emanuelle saying that the Swedish ABC-News will be coming to our rehearsal tomorrow!!! So watch the big box! :)

Just realized that my computer wants me to write in American English, which is pretty annoying...

Had a row over the e-mail with one of my teachers. I´m taking an internet course in Literature, and have been trying to get hold of him for ages. At last I have, and he claims that the address which I´ve been writing to has been down for years. But I got an e-mail from that very same address welcoming me to the course... And that was a month ago! I hate it when teachers take things personally, I just want help and answers to my questions, that´s all. And if it is an internet course as this is, it would be helpful to have the right e-mail address... FRUSTRATION

And! On top of that, one of my windows has cracked! Don´t know how it happened because I´ve never even opened it. When we moved in to our apartment one of the other windows were cracked in the same way, and we were the first to even live here. So I´m thinking maybe they´ve been cheating when they´ve been building the place?
