This will never end cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more
This will never end cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more
If I had a heart I could love you
if I had a voice I would sing
After the night when I wake up
I'll see what tomorrow brings
If I had a voice I would sing
Dangling feet from window frame
will I ever ever reach the floor?
More, give me more, give me more
Crushed and filled with all I found
underneath and inside just to come around
More, give me more, give me more
If I had a voice I would sing

Fever Ray - If I Had a Heart
The sociology of gender
So we have had our first lecture (on tuesday) and today our first seminar where we were divided into groups. Each group got an article to read and write an essay on. Of course I ended up on the group focusing on gender. We didn't chose our subjects ourselves. It is not that I mind writing about gender. But I have already done that several times. I have been reading about gender since I was 14, so yeah I do find it interesting. But I would prefer to write about something else. Something I haven´t done before. It would feel more challenging. Well at least the twist in our essay is that it is about gender in a children s perspective.
Here is an article on parenthood and gender that I find really inspiring! (Swedish only, sorry!)

Expectations - Belle & Sebastian
Tomorrow is my first day at school. In a weird way I feel like I'm 6 years old again. In another way I feel like the proud parent... How strange...

Yesterday I bought these 7 books for 800sek. Just started reading the top one "Att tänka sociologiskt" by Bauman & May. I have a feeling this is a subject I am going to like. For thoes of you that don't know what sociology is about it is (to explain it simple) the studies of people in groups. You could say a bit like psychology, but focusing more on the group identity rather than the actual individual. I am only just getting the hang of this. In a weeks time when I have started my seminars and finished the book I can probably tell you more. I start on Monday!!! (And I've been going on about this for almost two weeks... haaha!)
Do you remember your first day at school?
I don't actually remember this, but I was told by my mum that she got a call from the school principal about me and a friend on our first day at school. Our school had pale green bricks, so me and my friend had decided that the colour was quite boring and started colouring the bricks with our crayons...

Madness
Right now I could really really run a mile. I have been so angry today. The worst thing is that I can do nothing about it. It is better being angry than being sad about it though so I guess I'll have to channel my anger into something good. like energy. Like I said, I could run a mile. But it's to late now. I should really just go to bed. It gets better with sleep. My day started off with a lot of Tori Amos and then went on to Primal Scream. Jesus.

Nervous girl...
Geee... I sent out 4 job applications yesterday and got an email today asking me to come on an interview! Feels a bit nerve wrecking.. But great! I have had one job interview before. Don't know if it counts though, the boss was pretty uninterested in me and mostly asked me how long I'd been in the business, and then I got the job. This place is much more ambitious, so I'm quite nervous about the interview... Wish me luck!!!! :)

Egypt
The hotel was really empty when we arrived. We were happy!
Ok, so yeah I know you are all wondering, so what happened in Egypt? It wasn't all crap even if I was sick all the time (I've been sick now for 3 weeks, but I am much better now, though in Egypt I wasn't fun..)
We had a really nice time actually. Just to get away for 2 weeks was fantastic. And the sun... I miss the sun! To just be able to lie in the sun and read for two weeks... It was wonderful!
We were on all inclusive which seemed nice at first, but the food was terrible. I think it was the worst food I have ever eaten. Really. Specially for a vegetarian, it was really hard. I ate rice and fried dry fish for two weeks. Thankfully I eat fish, otherwise I would be dead by now... HAHA
But the alcohol was also free, which would have been quite nice if I wasn't on penicillin half the time. So I was really unlucky to be sick. But well that happens.
It was nice, but I don't think I would go back. It was to much of a "family tourist place", I had Shakiras "Waka waka" on my mind ALL the time, because they played it ALL the time. Oh I don't know if I can really explain. Bad taste would be a good word. VERRY touristy. But we did have a nice time all the same.
